PLAYBACK THEATRE FOR NHS GP TRAINERS,THEIR SUPPORT AND ADMIN STAFF
Playback Theatre York was invited to NHS Leeds to support a 2 day long training to warm up and reflect on changes that happen in GP practices and how people felt about it. Playback Theatre was considered as a useful tool to warm up the about 70 participants to each other to the training and to the topic of the training in Leeds in July 2023.

CONVERGE PLAYBACK PERFORMANCE
Playback Theatre York regularly delivers performances for students from Converge from the UK and other places worldwide who visit. We performed to students from Pacific University, Oregon in June 2023.

NEW LODGE CARE HOME YORK
In June 2023 we delivered a one time performance for the residents who live with different forms of dementia from funding grant from York Common Good Trust.

DEAD GOOD FESTIVAL YORK
York’s Dead Good Festival takes place each year in May, to coincide with Dying Matters Awareness Week, with the aim of encouraging people to be more open about dying, death and bereavement.
Playback Theatre York invites our stories of life, death and everything in between annually to connect to our humanity.

BEYOND THE MASK
In 2021 we received NHS funding to create two online Playback performances for frontline health and care staff. These shows were part of the offer from the Staff Wellbeing Hub (part of the NHS). We collaborated with other UK playbackers to bring this project on. Watch our film made by Serious media.
